Eight Foot Image – Off to Print!
I was super happy with the results from a recent shot of the Vancouver Skyline. The NATIVE resolution (shooting portrait, 36 Megapixels per shot), is close to 8 feet.
Given that my printer is now printing 8 foot aluminum prints, I decided to just “push it” to 8 feet, and it is still pretty much crystal clear. It is hard to appreciate this unless you stand 3 feet from the image. (Those that have seen them in person, properly illuminated know exactly what I am talking about.
Here is a smaller version that does not do the image much justice (on a computer screen, shrunk down). The actual image, at full resolution you can plainly see people standing beside the rails at Canada Place, along with television or slideshow broadcasts within the new convention center, and much more.
Number 1 of 25 will be hanging in our living room shortly.
